Note: Adobe Flash will no longer be supported after 2020. Microsoft plans to remove Flash from Windows entirely by the end of 2020.

  • After downloading the most recent adobe flash player, I now have plug-ins option in settings under the website area. It is odd that it would not work in Safari until downloading adobe flash for it. Mint worked fine in Chrome on my Mac for that website under the graphs. So, I did not have to download adobe flash player for chrome on the Mac.
  • Nov 12, 2020 Open Safari, click the Safari menu at the top, and select Preferences. Go to the Websites tab. Tick the Adobe Flash Player box on the left under Plug-ins. Select On from the When visiting other websites dropdown menu on the right pane.
  • Browsers and operating systems that support Flash Player continue to decrease so Adobe strongly recommends immediately uninstalling Flash Player. Apple Safari version 14, released for macOS in September 2020, no longer loads Flash Player or runs Flash content. Please visit Apple’s Safari support for more information.

Adobe® Flash® Player is a lightweight browser plug-in and rich Internet application runtime that delivers consistent and engaging user experiences.

Because Flash will no longer be supported after 2020, it is turned off by default in the new Microsoft Edge. Other browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla, and Safari are also planning on removing Adobe Flash in the same timeframe.

Here’s how to allow or block Flash permanently for individual websites:

  1. Go to Settings and more > Settings .

  2. In the left navigation, select Site permissions.

  3. In Site permissions, select Adobe Flash.

  4. Set the toggle on for the Ask before running Flash option.

The Block and Allow lists will be available after you visit a site that uses Flash.

The next time you visit a site the uses Flash, the browser will ask for your permission before allowing Flash to run.
